Pancake Breakfast

Join the St. Bernardine CCD program for a Pancake Breakfast from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Oct. 28 at St. Bernardine Fearon Hall, 815 Elgin. Tickets $5. All proceeds benefit the church's religious education program.

Second Annual Cemetery Scavenger Hunt

Join officials from the Historical Society of Forest Park for a scavenger hunt in Forest Home Cemetery. The group offers two options—an easier one, for children, families and newcomers to Forest Home, along with a more difficult scavenger hunt for those who already know Forest Home well. Take a picture of each item, show the photo to Historical Society officials and, once you're done, receive a prize. Scavenger hunt runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Oct. 28 at Forest Home, 863 Desplaines Ave. Tickets $8. Reserve your space forestparkhistory.org.

Hauntin' Halloween DJ Dance Party

Third and fifth graders are invited to a "fab-boo-lous" DJ dance party from 7 to 9 p.m. on Oct. 26 at the Park District of Forest Park, 7501 Harrison. Prizes will be awarded to everyone at the door, and winners of a best costume contest will receive something extra special. Tickets $5.

Cindy Lyons Health Fair

The Howard Mohr Community Center will hold the annual Cindy Lyons Health Fair from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Oct. 24 at 7640 Jackson Blvd. Learn about village services—all of the village of Forest Park departments will be on hand to answer any question—and receive information and free health screenings. Trunk or Treat in the Park

Attend the Park District of Forest Park's annual "Trunk or Treat in the Park," where participants park their cars in the Park District's lot and open their trunk to reveal secret treats and decorations for trick or treaters. Register your car online at pdofp.org. Fun runs from 2 to 4 p.m. on Oct. 27 at 7501 Harrison.

Crowdfunding for Business: What You Need to Know

Learn how to tap into the power of the internet to raise money for your small business, the different types of crowdfunding, keys to crowdfunding success and more. Class runs from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on Nov. 1 at 7555 Jackson Blvd.

Oak Park Concert Chorale Vocal Tech Workshop

This workshop serves as a great introduction for beginners and a refresher for more experienced singers. Free; reservations required. Fun runs from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Oct. 27 at St. John Lutheran Church, 305 Circle Ave.

"A day that promises to be a treat for all on board," is the only clue Community Center officials are revealing before the big day. Lunch is included. $75 residents; $79 non-resident. Girls interested in Boy Scouts

Girls ages 11 and up will have their first meeting for a girls-only Boy Scouts troop at 7 to 8:30 p.m. on Nov. 1 at St. John Lutheran Church, 305 Circle.
