…or at least watch it. The 50th annual No Glove Nationals tournament will run from July 26 to 29 at the Park District of Forest Park, 7501 Harrison St. Visit noglovenationals.com for lineup information and more.
Children ages 5 to 8 are invited to learn the basics of pizza-making with Ms. Sandy Byrnes. From dough to sauce to toppings, attendees are guaranteed to leave the class a pizza master. All supplies will be provided by the Park District of Forest Park. Participants should bring a container to carry food home. $15 for residents, $20 for non-residents. Class runs from 3:30 to 5 p.m. on August 2 on the second floor of the administrative building at the Park District, 7501 Harrison.
Animal Care League Sidewalk Sale
Shop discounted clothing, books, housewares and more at the Animal Care League's third annual Sidewalk Sale. All proceeds benefit the Animal Care League. Sale runs from 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. on July 27; 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on July 28; and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on July 29. On July 29, there will also be 50 percent off items as marked from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Get ready to shop at the Second Chance Shop, 808 Harrison in Oak Park.

Eastland Disaster Bus Tour
Join the Historical Society of Forest Park in celebrating the 103rd anniversary of the Eastland Disaster, by touring the graves of the victims buried in Forest Park. Attendees will receive a booklet with the locations, names, and bios of the victims of the infamous passenger steamer crash. Fun starts at 1 p.m. on July 29 at Centuries and Sleuths Bookstore, 7419 W. Madison St. Buy tickets online for $25 at forestparkhistory.org.
Iowa writers' workshop alum Beth Wetmore will lead a workshop for writers at all levels at 7 p.m. on August 1 at the Forest Park Public Library, 7555 Jackson Blvd.
Proviso Township Property Tax Appeal
The village and township tax assessor will host a property tax appeal forum at 6:30 p.m. on July 31 at the Howard Mohr Community Center, 7640 Jackson Blvd.
Rise N' Learn
Rena McDaniel, a gender and sex therapist, will present "Gender and Sexual Diversity: Exploring the Galaxy of Identities" at 9 a.m. on August 3 at Riveredge Hospital, 8311 W. Roosevelt Rd. The free workshop will outline concepts related to gender and sexual identity, with a focus on transgender and non-conforming individuals.
West Suburban Jazz Bus Tour
Healy's Westside and Kagan & Gaines in Forest Park will join area venues in hosting jazz shows at 6 p.m. on July 25. Buy your tickets at jazzdesires.org. Produced by Jazz Desires, a nonprofit that brings music to youth.
Strong by Zumba
Strong by Zumba is a high-intensity interval training class that uses traditional moves for a more athletic, conditioning workout. Classes run every Wednesday from 5:45 p.m. to 6:45 p.m., from July 11 to August 11, at the Park District of Forest Park, 7501 Harrison St. Residents pay $35; Non-residents $40; and drop-in classes cost $8 each.
St. John Choristers Children's Choir Day Camp
St. John's will hold its annual, 10-day choir camp from July 30 to August 10. Attendees will receive training in vocal technique, stage craft, improvisation and much more. The camp is open to all children older than second grade, regardless of school or religious affiliation. The camp culminates in an informal concert to be held on August 10. Camp costs $200 and runs from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday.
