On Friday, December 5 they went to the Drury Lane Theater to see the play, “A Christmas Carol” and have lunch. The students were very excited about this field trip and many wore their “Sunday best”! They were amazed by the scenery and costumes, and many commented on how scary and sad some of the scenes were. The class also enjoyed lunch at Drury Lane following the performance. They especially liked being served by the wait staff and getting to choose their own seats. At the end of the meal, two of the servers complimented the teachers on how well behaved the students were. Teachers used this field trip as an opportunity to discuss proper manners and behaviors when out in public, especially in theater and restaurant settings.
