Sympathy to the family of Marv Rodenbostel who died last week. Marv lived all of his life here in Forest Park, as did his wife Elsie. Their three kids, Kim, Kevin and Pan also went to Garfield Middle School and Proviso. Marv and Elsie were active in the Eagles”he was the guy who sold you your ticket for the Eagles dinners on Fridays and Elsie brought you your dinner. Marv and Elsie had lots of friends in town, old neighbors and friends from St. Bernardine’s and Saint John’s.The Rodenbostel name is one of the old Forest park names. We are saddened at Marv’s passing.

It will be the group’s 25th reunion concert and will benefit the ARCC: African Refugee Resettlement of Chicago. Call 312-458-0822 to reserve a ticket or for more information.

A few weeks ago the announcement of the Ryan Russ-Jenniffer Swinski engagement appeared here but the accompanying photo fell into technology space plasma. A few weeks ago Estelle and Leo Pargulski were playing bingo at the community center”on separate cards, of course”when each yelled “BINGO” at the same time. Each of them had been waiting for the same number for a long time.
