David E. Larkin, 80, Professor at Triton College
David E. Larkin, 80, of Forest Park, passed away on August 30, 2005.

Mr. Larkin was the beloved husband of the later Elizabeth nee O’Laughlin, and the loving father of Steven, Lawrence, Bonnie Madigan, Sheila Talsma, Howard, Michael, Elizabeth Sims and Regina.

He was the fond grandfather of Elizabeth, Matthew and Kathryn Madigan, Aaron and Brian Talsma, Colleen and Maureen Larkin and Conor and Moira Larkin, and the dear brother of Gene Pearson, Jerry Larkin, Mary Ruth Larkin, Ray Larkin, Jack Larkin and Nancy Dooley.

Mr. Larkin received a Bachelors and Masters in Chemical Engineering from Purdue University, and worked as a chemical engineer and adjunct professor at Triton College and Morton and Joliet Jr. Colleges.

He was a member of St. Bernardine Church, the Professional Engineers Society and the Purdue University Alumni Association.

Visitation was held from 3-9 on Friday, September 2 at Zimmerman-Ehringer-Harnett Funeral Home, 7319 W. Madison. The funeral was Saturday at 9 a.m. to St. Bernardine Church, where Mass will be held at 9:30 a.m. Interment at St. John Nepomucene. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Bernardine Church at 7246 W. Harrisson Street are appreciated.
