Edward H. Stange, 91, Great-grandfather of 24
Edward H. Stange, 91, of Forest Park, passed away on September 22, 2005 at age 91.

He was the beloved husband of Emma nee Olerud for 68 years, and the loving father of Betty Lou Blickhahn, Shirley Dring, James Strange and the late John Strange.

Mr. Stange was the “world’s best” grandfather of 17 and the great-grandfather of 24.

Mr. Stange was born and raised in Forest Park. He had a great love of music, and began playing the drums at age 8. He had his own band and played with many other bands throughout his music career.

In his later years, he performed with the Checkerboards musical group.

Mr. Stange worked at the Forest Park Navel Ordinance Plant and retired from Proviso East High School.

He was lovingly cared for this past year by Mila.

Visitation was held from 3 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, September 25 at Zimmerman-Ehringer-Harnett Funeral Home, 7319 W. Madison in Forest Park.

Service was held at 10 a.m. on Monday, September 26 at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, with interment at Arlington Ceremony.

Catherine Ann Fox, 77, Mother of 9
Catherine Ann Fox, nee Flynn, passed away on September 19 at the age of 77.

She was the beloved wife of fifty years of Richard J. Fox, and the devoted mother of Elizabeth Meredith, Christopher J. Fox, Kevin S. Fox, William G. Fox, Vernon L. Fox, Robert D. Fox, Michael K. Fox, Anne Marie Gleason and the late Edward.

She was also the caring sister of Mary Doll, Margaret Flynn and the late Thomas Flynn.

Mrs. Fox was the loving grandmother of Daniel, Andrew, Conor, Kerry, Kelsey, Adam, Brian and Isabel Fox and Edward and Grace Gleason, and the fond aunt of many.

Born in Chicago, she was a lifelong resident of the Westside and the Oark Park-River Forest area. She was a proud graduate of St. Thomas Aquinas and Sienna High School. She retired in 1994 after 25 years of service at Oak Park/Rush and St. Anne Hospitals.

Visitation was from 3 to 9 p.m. on Thursday at Zimmerman-Ehringer-Harnett Funeral Home, 7319 W. Madison in Forest Park.

Funeral service was 9:30 a.m. Friday to St. Luke Church where Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Interment was at Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
