Gwen Byars, 80, 65-year Forest Park resident
Gwen Byars, 80, nee Cox, passed away in Gilbert, AZ on October 9, 2005. Gwen will be greatly missed by her children – Richard Jr. (Cecilia), Carol Byars Smith and Janet (Kirk) Oliver, her grandchildren Sherry Byars, Sue (Neal) Byars-Kull, Eric Battersby, William (Claire) Fleege, Heather Fleege-Delk and Bryan (Myrna) Fleege and her 7 great-grandchildren. Gwen was born in Oak Park, IL and was resident of Forest Park, IL for over 65 years. She moved to Gilbert, AZ in 2001. She was a graduate of Proviso East High School and worked for Remington Rand/Sperry Unisys prior to her retirement in 1986. Funeral arrangements were handled by Bunker Family Services, University Dr in Mesa, AZ 480-830-4105. She will be buried at Elm Lawn Cemetery in Elmhurst IL.
