November 8, at 7 PM, The State Treasurer’s Office will make a presentation on “Bright Start,” its tax advantaged college savings program. Parents especially should attend this informative program on saving for their children’s education.
November 15, at 3:30 PM, the Youth Services Department will host a program on raptors, presented by the Trailside Museum of River Forest. Birds, both stuffed and living, will be displayed and discussed. Children from age 6 and up are welcome to attend.
There will not be a Family Movie Afternoon in November. However, keep an eye out for announcement of our feature for December 4 at 2 PM.
Due to a generous donation from the Friends of the Forest Park Public Library, we have been able to expand our offering of books on CD. Watch the shelf for the new additions!
Don’t forget Learning Express Library, available to all Forest Park library cardholders at the library or from any computer with Internet access, through our website. There are numerous valuable test preparation and skill development modules to this program, and all you need to get signed up is your library card. Ask us about this superb program.
