It’s the author discussion and signing of copies of The Biography of Sandra Day O’Connor by Joan Biskupic. You could make a night of it and dine at one of our upscale, fashionable, new eateries as well.
Everyone is humming “Here Comes the Groom” around Schauer’s Hardware Store these days. Richard Schauer and Donna Hattey will become Mr. and Mrs. on November 25, and will have their reception at the William Tell in Countryside. To keep this a real Forest Park occasion, the wedding flowers are from Quitsch Flowers, Ltd., jewelry is from Team Blonde and the rehearsal dinner will be at Flav’our Cooking School.
Bonnie and Pat Cimaglia are delighted to announce the marriage of their son,Patrick to Lana Marasovichon October 7, 2005 at Saint Jerome’s Croatian Church in Chicago. A bus took the wedding guests from St. Jerome’s to the Intercontinental Hotel on Michigan Avenue for the reception. Lana is the daughter of Frano and Carol Marasovich of Western Springs. The newlyweds honeymooned in Florida.
The Friends of the Library book sale was a great success and everyone worked hard to make it so. Zeno Jacquat thinks more credit should be given to those behind the scenes workers who give so much time and energy to this yearly project. Such diligent stalwarts as Phil Robinson, Betty Gilchrist, Evelyn Krueger, Eleanor Locati, Barbara Plona, Elaine Kovarek, Shirley Christell, Janet Paulin, Ruth Loyd and May Bill need some recognition. And if I’ve missed somebody I’m sure I’ll hear about it and name them next week. The sale netted more than a thousand dollars this year!
Congratulations to Cathy and Gary Marinier who are grandparents of Patrick Michael Olson. The baby was born October 7, 2005. Patrick Michael’s great grandmother is Alice Conway.
