Ethel Larson, 88, Lifelong Forest Park resident
Ethel Larson, 88, a lifelong resident of Forest Park, died in her home on December 10, 2005. Mrs. Larson was born in Forest Park on Januarly 17, 1917 to Frank and Florence Hubner. She graduated from Proviso High School in 1935 and worked over 30 years in the insureance industry for Alexander and Co. in the Lasalle Bank building in Chicago. She was a member of Hinsdale 7th Day Adventist Church. She is survived by her husband Leon of Forest Park, her daughter Le Etta (the late Baxter “Lucky”) Spears of Forest Park, her grandchildren; Shannon and Megan Spears of Forest Park and her great-grandchildren Adam and Nathan Spears. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother George (the late Virginia) Hubner. A visitation was held on Monday, December 12 at Drechsler, Brown and Williams Funeral Home in Oak Park where services were held on Tuesday, December 13. Interment followed at Elm Lawn Cemetery in Elmhurst.
Richard J. Zwadlo, 62, Fond nephew and cousin to many
Richard J. Zwadlo, 62, died December 15 2005. Mr. Zwadlo was the beloved son of the late Mitchell and Helen, and the loving brother of Eugene (Brenda), Margaret and Ronald. He was the fond nephew and cousin to many. Visitation was held Sunday, Dec. 18 at Zimmerman-Ehringer-Harnett Funeral Home in Forest Park. Funeral was held Monday, Dec. 19 to St. Bernardine Church, followed by Mass. Interment was at St. Adalbert Cemetery. William A. Purl, 85, WWII Navy Veteran
William A. Purl, 85, died December 15, 2005. Mr. Purl was a Deputy District Chief and Chicago firefighter for 30 years, and a World War II Navy veteran. He worked as the president of Pro-Heating and Air Conditioning in LaGrange Park. Visitation was held December 18 and 19 at the Hitzeman Funeral Home in Brookfield, with services on Dec. 19 at St. Louise de Marillac Church. Interment was at St. James at Sag Bridge Cemetery in Lemont.
