Margaret E. Becker, 82, 54 year Forest Park resident
Margaret E. Becker, 82, of Coralville, Iowa died at Windmill Manor in Coralville Monday, December 19, 2005 from complications of Alzheimer’s Disease.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, December 28, 2005 at 11 a.m. at St. John’s
Lutheran Church in Forest Park with burial in Concordia Cemetery.

Margaret was born December 7, 1923 in Racine, Wisconsin. On November 23, 1945 she married Gerhardt Becker.
She and her husband lived in Forest Park from 1948 to 2002 at which time they moved to Coralville. Margaret was an editorial assistant for the Journal of Geography and for Lutheran Education. She later became business manager for the Forest Park Community School District. Margaret was very creative and operated a ceramics business from her home.
Margaret was a member of Zion Lutheran Church.
She is survived by her husband Gerhardt; three daughters Elizabeth, Carolyn and Catherine; two sons; Christopher and Frederick; twelve grandchildren; six great grandchildren; three sisters; two brothers.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and a granddaughter.

Esther Rose Gehrke, 74, Enjoyed photography, woodcarving
Esther Rose Gehrke, nee Kuhlmann, 74, of Villa Park, died Dec. 1 at Elmhurst Memorial Hospital. Funeral services were held at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lombard, and interment took place at Chapel Hill Gardens West in Oakbrook Terrace.
Mrs. Gehrke is survived by her sons Steven (Nancy) of Forest Park and Glenn (Sheree) of Lombard; her daughters Karen (Phillip) Howard of Villa Park and Patti Gehrke of Villa Park; her grandchildren, Jeff, John, Gayle, Scott, Paul, Amanda and Danny; her sisters, Ruth (Donald) Watts of Addison, Joan Johansen of Lombard, and Irene Simons of Wisconsin; her brother John Kuhlmann of Villa Park, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne, her brother, Richard Kuhlmann, and her brothers-in-law, Bill Johansen and Kenneth Simons.
Mrs. Gehrke was a 1949 graduate of Proviso High School, and a Villa Park resident since 1962. She was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She retired from McMaster-Carr Supply Co. of Elmhurst in 1997. She was an avid photographer of her grandchildren, and enjoyed woodcarving as a hobby. Mrs. Gehrke was someone who always put others before herself, and was devoted to her family.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to Trinity Lutheran School, Roosevelt and Meyers Roads, York Center, Lombard, IL 60148 would be appreciated.
