Here is Marilyn Kauffman shown with her friend Margie Neff after they celebrated Margie’s birthday at the home of Ruth Loyd. Marilyn is planning another trip to bring pencils, crayons, writing and drawing paper, books and the like to impoverished children. She has made other trips to the Middle East, notably Iraq, in the recent past. But her next trip will be to Columbia; she’ll be leaving Iraq alone for a while, sad to say. Marilyn does all this traveling at her own expense and loves every minute working with the children.
