CUinFP clean up day a success
On Saturday, June 24, Citizens United in Forest Park held a clean up day, removing 18 bags of garbage from Harlem and Desplaines Avenues around the el stations and expressway exits.
We would like to thank Commissioner Patrick Doolin, Public Works Director Bob Kutak and the Public Works employees for making sure that we had the equipment we needed and that the garbage bags were taken away. Marty Sorice from the Shortshop Lounge also provided a generous donation to make sure that volunteers had plenty of food and water.
Thanks especially to the 15 volunteers who spent who spent two hours of their time making Forest Park a more attractive community to the many people who enter our village from the el and expressway.

Thanks for honoring Art Jones
I want to personally thank all who participated in the function held at caffe De Luca in honor of my father, Art Jones. Special thanks to Mayor Anthony Calderone and State Representative Karen Yarbrough for their sincere presentations, Jerry Vainisi and Forest Park National Bank, the entire Village Council, Dorothy Gillian and the Main Street Redevelopment Association, Laurie Kokenes and the Chamber of Commerce and all those present that evening. Our family thanks you.
My father was one of many who contributed to the success of this town. Forest Park is on the move and the growth is just beginning. Best wishes to Forest Park and all who contributed to the prosperity of this great village.
