Michael E. Dudzik, 57, Twenty-five year Forest Park resident
Michael E. Dudzik, 57, of Forest Park, died on July 22, 2006.
Mr. Dudzik is survived by his wife of 35 years, Eva, nee Schreiner, his son David (Rebecca), daughter Christine (Gary) Giannoni, and his granddaughter Gweniveve Eve.
Mr. Dudzik was employed as a supervisor at Able Electro Polishing for 27 years, and had served in the Army National Guard from 1969 to 1975.
Funeral services were held at Mt. Auburn in Oak Park on July 26, and interment was at Mt. Auburn cemetery.
Ruth Marie Bowers, 101, Husband owned Bowers Laboratory
Ruth Marie Bowers of Boulder, Co., formerly of Forest Park, died Monday, July 17 2006 in Boulder.
She was born to Arba Andrus and Lillian Maybee Bennett Andrus on November 29, 1904 in Zion, Illinois. She married David Francis Bowers, who would later own Bowers Laboratory in Forest Park, in 1932.
Mrs. Bowers lived in Forest Park for many years before moving to Colorado in 1973 after her husband’s death.
She is survived by her son, Kenneth Arthur Bowers, daughter, Judith Elaine Rothe, seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, her sister, Leafie Weigel, and one grandson, Clifford A. Bowers.
Warren F. Dubois, 84, Avid hunter and fisherman
Warren F. Dubois, 84, of Elmhurst, formerly of Forest Park, died July 19, 2006. Mr. Dubois was the beloved husband of Janice Behnke nee Conover and the late Caroline. He was the loving father of William (June) and the late Kenneth and stepfather of Katherine (Micael) Gorecki, Diane Behnke, and Richard Behnke Jr.
Mr. Dubois was the dear brother of Duane (Margaret) Dubois and the fond grandfather of Nicole (Lou) Horton, Andrew DuBois, Steven Poulos, Laura Poulos and Jason Poulos. He was the beloved great-grandfather of Caroline, Louis and Christopher, and the fond uncle of many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Dubois had a great love of the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a member of the American Legion Post of Forest Park, Moose Lodge in Lockport, and of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Visitation was held at Zimmerman-Harnett Funeral Home in Forest Park and at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Forest Park, where service was also held. Interment was at Arlington Cemetery. Memorials to St. Paul Lutheran Church are appreciated.
