A highway safety checkpoint will be conducted in Forest Park on Sept. 1, beginning at 8 p.m. in the area of the 8500 block of Roosevelt Road. Vehicles traveling west along Roosevelt will be subject to random traffic stops. Those traveling east will be exempt. The checkpoint is scheduled to conclude at 1 a.m. on Sept. 2.
