Charles W. Broehl Jr., 77, Former police officer

Charles W. Broehl Jr., 77 of Scottsdale, Ariz., died Oct. 20, 2006, at his home in Scottsdale. Born May 4, 1929, in River Forest, he served in the U.S. Navy reserve during the Korean conflict. Charles was a graduate of the FBI National Academy 120th Session, and served on the Forest Park Police Department for 30 years from 1952 to 1982, when he retired and moved to Scottsdale.

He is survived by his soul mate and life partner Sharon Broady, his children Scott Broehl and Teresa Prichard and their mother Barbara Fox. He is also survived by four grandchildren, Matthew (Kim) Broehl, Joseph Prichard, James (Kerry) Prichard and Lindsay Prichard and great-grandson Tyler Prichard.

A memorial gathering will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday Oct. 23 at Messinger Indian School Mortuary, 7601 E. Indian School Rd., Scottsdale, Ariz. Memorial contributions to Hospice of the Valley 1510 E Flower St. Phoenix, AZ 85014

Juletta M. McCauley, 75, Longtime Oak Park resident

Juletta “Julie” M. McCauley (Oxley), 75, of Oak Park died.

McCauley was a resident of Oak Park for 30 years and worked for the Sears Roebuck and Co. for 23 years.

She is survived by her daughters, Cathleen (Arturo) Herrera, Monica and Christine McCauley; two sons, Kevin and Daniel McCauley; her brother, Jack Oxley; and three grandchildren.

McCauley is predeceased by her husband Brian McCauley.

Funeral services will be held privately and are under the direction of the Zimmerman-Harnett Funeral Home at 7319 W. Madison St., Forest Park.
