Two Forest Park police officers received citations from the Cook County Sheriff’s office recently for the overall quality of their work.
Officers Young Lee and James Falkman were invited to the 14th Annual Law Enforcement Awards Ceremony late last month where they each received a merit award. Falkman and Lee were nominated for the commendation by Chief James Ryan, according to a sheriff’s office spokesperson, for their outstanding service to the community.
More than 65 officers in Cook County were recognized at the event, 37 of whom received merit awards. Falkman and Young each received a certificate and a medal from Sheriff Michael Sheahan, who was joined in congratulating them by Cook County Commissioner Tony Peraica and Mayor Anthony Calderone.
