Major Girls
The Forest Park Majors Girls softball team, Chix with Stix, persevered this week, defeating Northlake 15 – 11. After 2-1/2 innings, Chix with Stix led 7-3. Northlake came back to score six in the bottom of the third to take the lead 9-7. Chix with Stix came back with six of their own in the top of the fourth to reclaim the lead and never looked back. Offensive heroes included Emily Mott who reached base five times and scored each time; Anne Childs who reached base four times and scored twice; Mariah Ward who reached base four times and scored once; and Christina Carr who reached base four times. Dana Carlson, Sidnee Price and Megan Braniff each reached base three times, scoring three, two and one times respectively.
