Steven Kaup, 41, Former village resident
Sgt. Steven Paul Kaup, 41, of Skowhegan, Maine, formerly of Forest Park, died suddenly on June 16, 2007. He was born July 17, 1965, in St Louis, Mo.
Kaup was the son of Judith Taylor and Ed Kaup.
Steven was devoted to serving our country in the U.S. Army and was also a constable in the state of Massachusetts. He was a kind, gentle, loving man.
He is survived by his children, Steven, Brandon and Storm Kaup; his sister, Victoria Leganski; and three brothers, William, Scott and Edwin Kaup. He is also survived by his former wife Kim, several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, two great-nieces and many friends.
Services were held on June 25 and were arranged by Adams Funeral Services in Skowhegan, Maine. Interment will be at Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Augusta, Maine. Memorial services in Steven’s honor will be held in the Illinois and Missouri area at a later date.

Irma E. Koch, 90, Longtime village resident
Irma E. Koch (Giegler), 90, of Forest Park, died on June 24, 2007.
She is survived by her children, Conrad Koch of Avon, Conn., Coral Koch Murphy of River Forest, Kendall Koch of Forest Park, Philipp Koch of Wheaton, Ill., and Robert Koch of Broken Arrow, Okla.; 10 grandchildren, Rachel Notte, James and Brian Murphy, Rebekah, Daniel, Joel, Christina, Alison and Karl Koch, and Kim Kirschner; two great-grandchildren, Kate and Ella; and her friend and care-giver, Mary Ann Lim.
She was predeceased by her husband of 62 years, Gerhardt; and her sister, Helmut Giegler.
A celebration of her life will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 20 at the Forest Park Baptist Church, 133 Harlem Ave., Forest Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the Forest Park Baptist Church.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Zimmerman-Harnett Funeral Home at 7319 Madison St., Forest Park.
Raymond G. Krumwiede, 70, Forest Park resident
Raymond G. Krumwiede, 70, of Forest Park, died recently. He was a longtime resident of the village.
Krumwiede is survived by a sister, Sandra; two nieces, Suzanne Fountas and Dawn Fenner; a nephew, Matthew Vandeburg; a cousin, Bill Wied and six great-nephews and great-nieces.
He was predeceased by his parents, Raymond and Myrtle Krumwiede.
Visitation and funeral services were held at Zimmerman-Harnett Funeral Home, 7319 W. Madison St. Interment will be at Forest Home Cemetery.
Lorraine M. Popelka, 75, Former village mayor
Lorraine M. Popelka (Primuth), 75, died on Sunday, June 24, 2007. Popelka was a lifelong resident of Forest Park and served as mayor from 1987 to 1999.
She is survived by her children, Dan, Don, Diana, Debbie and Scott; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a brother, Paul; and two sisters, Lillian and Kathy.
Popelka was predeceased by her husband, Martin R. Popelka; and two sisters, Elsie and Frieda.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, June 27 at Zimmerman-Harnett Funeral Home, 7319 Madison St., Forest Park. Funeral services will be Thursday at 9 a.m. followed by Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Bernardine Church. Interment will be at Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Bernardine Church, 7246 Harrison St., Forest Park, are appreciated.
