Mary Louise Grisafe, 88, Services at St. Bernardine Church
Mary Louise Grisafe, 88, of Wheaton, formerly of Forest Park, died Feb. 3, 2008. Grisafe served as senior cadet nurse during WWII and went on to practice as an RN at the Shriner’s Hospital and St. Joseph’s Hospital. She was a 25-year resident of the village.
She is survived by four generations of nieces and nephews.
Grisafe was predeceased by her parents, Angelo and Salvatrice (Bonisare) Grisafe; five brothers, Michael, Angelo, Joseph, John and Frank; and three sisters, Antonette Rizza, Bertha Sorace and Nancy Marie Grisafe.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 9 at St. Bernardine Church, 7246 Harrison St. Forest Park, Ill. Interment services will be held privately.
William E. Roberts, 75, 50-year village resident
William “Bill” E. Roberts, 75, of Forest Park, has died. Roberts was a member of both the Eagles and Moose lodges, and was a former committeeman on the Forest Park Board of Health. He was a Forest park resident for more than 50 years and served in the Korean War.
He is survived by three daughters, Shirley Roberts, Patty Schroeder and Barbara Smith; and four grandchildren, Michael, Liz, Sabrina and Keely.
He was predeceased by his wife, Beverly (Darby) Roberts; and two siblings, Dorothy Jaax Wrobel and Marlo “Bob” Roberts.
Visitation and funeral services were held at the Zimmerman-Harnett Funeral Home, 7319 W. Madison St., Forest Park, Ill. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Heartland Hospice Services, 4415 W. Harrison St., Ste. 403, Hillside, Ill., 60162.
Kathryn J. Nushawg, 89, Surviving family in Forest Park
Kathryn Jane Nushawg, 89, of Burr Ridge and formerly of Centerville, died Monday, Jan. 28, 2008, at King-Bruwaert Retirement Home in Burr Ridge.
Kathryn was born May 5, 1918, in Brookville, Ohio, to Marion and Mary Irene (Smith) Hay.
She is survived by her son, Michael and his wife, Nancy Nushawg of Forest Park; two grandchildren, Anneke and her husband, Michael Hilvert and Micah Nushawg; two great-granddaughters, Magnolia and Azalea Hilvert.
She was predeceased by her husband of 62 years, Don O. Nushawg on July 18, 2004.
