Program for senior drivers

Seniors will have a chance to renew their drivers’ licenses and undergo a vision screening at the Howard Mohr Community Center this month as part of a program sponsored by the secretary of state.

Super Senior Day, as the program is called, will be held April 21 and features several programs for older motorists. Beginning at 10 a.m. is an instructional class that reviews driving regulations. Drivers’ license renewal and state identification can be obtained between 9:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. A vision screening service will also be available.

Road tests will not be offered and any fees associated with these state services are applicable.
