Rudolph G. Cleff, 85, Former VFW commander
Rudolph G. Cleff, 85, of Forest Park, died March 29, 2008.
Cleff served in the Army Engineers Air Corps during WWII and retired from the Chicago Tribune with 45 years working in the mailroom. He was a past commander of VFW Post 7181 in Forest Park, and a lifetime member of the River Forest-Austin Masonic Lodge #850. Cleff was also the past associate Bethel Guardian for Bethel #18 in Riverside, IOJD.
He is survived by a daughter, Kimberly Wilhelm; a grandson, Kurt Wilhelm; a sister-in-law, Charlotte Sisson; several nieces and nephews, and his caregiver, Rita Parazo.
Cleff was predeceased by his wife, Lillian P. (Sisson) Cleff; six brothers, Otto, Walter, Fritz, William, Eugene and Alfred; a sister-in-law, Elizabeth Sisson; and an infant grandson, “baby Cleff.”
Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 1 from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Zimmerman-Harnett Funeral Home, 7319 Madison St., Forest Park. Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 2. Interment will be at Forest Home Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Alzheimer’s Association are appreciated.
Bruce Rodell, 60, Services held locally
Bruce Rodell, 60, of Chicago, died on March 15, 2008. He is survived by a sister, Donna Buck. Rodell was predeceased by his mother, Ida Rodell.
Visitation and funeral services were held March 24 at Zimmerman-Harnett Funeral Home, 7319 Madison St., Forest Park.
Walter J. Wolf, 75, Forest Park resident
Walter J. Wolf, 75, of Forest Park died March 27, 2008, at his home. He was an active member of the Forest Park Senior Center, and an Army veteran of the Korean War. For 26 years Wolf was a loving partner to Terri Kilinski.
Memorial visitation will be Saturday, April 5 from 10 a.m. until noon at Zimmerman-Harnett Funeral Home, 7319 Madison St., Forest Park. A memorial service will follow.
