Amanda E. Hurst, 88, Lifelong Forest Park resident
Amanda E. Hurst, 88, of Forest Park, has died.
Hurst was a longstanding member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Forest Park, and was an active member of Ladies Aid. She was a lifelong resident of Forest Park, and worked for 23 years at Perkin-Elmer when the business was located in Maywood.
She is survived by a daughter, Janet Schmitzer; a son, James Hurst; two grandchildren, Heather Simpson and Andrew Hurst; four great-grandchildren, Carlee, Ben and Emma Simpson, and Aidan Hurst; five siblings, Lucille, Dolores, Raymond, Dorothy and Geraldine; and several nieces and nephews.
Hurst was predeceased by her husband, James V. Hurst; and six siblings, Lydia, Augie, Mille, Frederick, Maria “Mary,” and Albert.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, May 15 at the Zimmerman-Harnett Funeral Home, 7319 Madison St., Forest Park. Viewing will be held Friday, May 15 at 10 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 7416 Dixon St., Forest Park, where services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be at Concordia Cemetery.

Thaddeus M. Rozmus, 77, Forest Park resident
Thaddeus “Ted” Rozmus, 77, of Forest Park, died May 8, 2008. Rozmus served in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of the Korean War.
He is survived by his wife, Karen (Rudd) Rozmus; two sons, Michael and Teddy; a grandson, Steven; and three siblings, Casmira, Thomas and Jerome. Rozmus was predeceased by a brother, Chester.
A memorial Mass will be held Saturday, May 17 at 10 a.m. at St. Bernardine Church, 7246 Harrison St., in Forest Park. Interment will follow at the Woodlawn Cemetery at 11:30 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Hines VA Hospital, voluntary services (135), GPF 1009, 5000 S. 5th Ave., Hines, Ill., 60141 are appreciated.
