Halina K. Pidde, 78, Church member
Halina K. Pidde (Schwimmer), 78, of Forest Park, died May 13, 2008.
She was born in Hamburg, Germany and has been a longtime resident of Forest Park. Pidde attended St. John’s Lutheran Church for many years.
She is survived by two sons, Michael and Eugene Pidde; two grandchildren, Michael Jr. and Mishael Pidde; and several nieces and nephews. Pidde was predeceased by her husband, Alvin.
Visitation and funeral services were under the direction of the Zimmerman-Harnett Funeral Home, 7319 Madison St., Forest Park. Interment will be at Forest Home Cemetery.
Cecilia Mae Spraggins, 67, Former Playboy employee
Cecilia Mae Spraggins (Clift), 67, of Forest Park, died on May 8, 2008. She was born in Chicago, but a majority of her early years were spent in Streator, Ill., with her uncle and aunt and their family. After high school, Spraggins returned to Chicago where she began working for Playboy Enterprises in 1967. She retired in 2007 and moved to Forest Park.
Spraggins was predeceased by her husband, Langford Spraggins Jr.; and her mother, Scharlde L. Gardner.
Funeral services were under the direction of the Zimmerman-Harnett Funeral Home, 7319 Madison St., Forest Park. Interment was held at Concordia Cemetery.
