Gertrude Phebus, 99, Former Forest Park resident
Gertrude Phebus (Sieh) died Saturday, June 14 at Foote Hospital in Jackson, Miss., at the age of 99.
After graduating high school Phebus moved to Chicago and was employed with Kiwanis International and married in 1938. She resided in Forest Park until 1974 and later returned to Jackson, Miss., in 1997.
She is survived by a daughter, Jacqueline Case; three grandchildren, Michael Jr., Amy and Brian Case; two nieces, Rebecca Smith and Yvonne Milnes; two nephews, Charles Phebus and James Zanzi.
Phebus was predeceases by her husband Millard in 1993.
Visitation services will be held Wednesday, June 18 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Zimmerman-Harnett Funeral Home, 7319 Madison St., Forest Park. Funeral services will also be held at the funeral home Thursday, June 19 at 10 a.m. Interment will be at Mt. Emblem Cemetery in Elmhurst.
