Movie’s use of the ‘R word’ is offensive

West Suburban Access News Association has a hard time understanding, as many actions are going on to protect People With Disabilities, how a film such as Tropic Thunder can come out. When persons hear a derogatory word such as the “R word” used many times in a new film they will think that it is the correct and polite thing to do. And what does this film show teens and youth, who just need a little guidance, to tell them it is correct, show them?

Repeated use of the term is viewed by the community of persons with disabilities as hate speech and cannot be tolerated.

We urge this film NOT be viewed. If the film gets low viewing then it will not be able to stay out for a long period of time.
