Anna J. Vann, 81, Oak Park resident
Anna Jane Vann (Green), 81, of Oak Park, has died.
Vann was a resident of Oak Park for more than 20 years.
She is survived by her daughter, Ella Shirley; four grandchildren, Lora Valentine, Calvin Carter, Shaun Tornes and Keith Smith; a great-granddaughter, Gia Loren Valentine; her brother, Louis Green; and her godson, Robert Morales.
Vann survived her husband, Woodrow Vann; and two sons, Edward Lee Carter and John Norris Carter.
Visitation will be held Thursday, Oct. 30 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Zimmerman-Harnett Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow. Interment will be at Concordia Cemetery.
Zimmerman-Harnett Funeral Home, 7319 Madison, is handling the arrangements.
Edith Hamilton, 96, Longtime village resident
Edith Hamilton, 96, has died. She was a resident of Forest Park for 60 years.
Hamilton is survived by her children, Ray, Ron and Glen; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and two siblings, Fannie Hamilton and Harold Kittinger.
She survived her husband, Ivan; a son, Henry Lewis; and eight brothers and sisters.
Burial services were held Oct. 21 at Oakridge Cemetery in Hillside.
