Fans of crime novels – and who among us can say they aren’t – will enjoy a celebration of author Hugh Holton at Centuries & Sleuths Bookstore this weekend. The March 15 event begins at 2 p.m. and will focus on the posthumous publication of Holton’s last two novels. There’s a bit of non-fiction for you truth-lovers out there with The Thin Black Line: True Stories by the Black Law Enforcement Officers Policing America’s Meanest Streets, and the return of Holton’s fictional protagonist Larry Cole in Revenge. The bookstore is at 7419 W. Madison.
