The Oak Park River Forest Infant Welfare Society is hosting the Second Annual Day at the Races Fundraiser on Saturday, May. 2, from 3:30 to 7:30 p.m. This outdoor event will take place on the grounds of a River Forest Mansion. The event will feature a viewing of the Kentucky Derby, a southern-style buffet catered by Wishbone Restaurant, an open bar, live entertainment provided by the Go Long Mule band and several outdoor games of skill and chance. There will also be a hat contest, a raffle and a silent auction.

Tickets for the Day at the Races fundraiser are $125 each and can be purchased by going to www.childrenscliniciws.org or by calling 848-0528, ext. 300. Tickets may also be purchased by mail with a check made payable to The Children’s Clinic, 320 Lake Street, Oak Park, IL 60302. Sponsored by the Oak Park River Forest Infant Welfare Society, The Children’s Clinic is a community health care organization that provides medical, dental and social services for children in Chicago and Cook County suburbs whose families cannot afford healthcare. Proceeds from this event will enable The Children’s Clinic to continue providing health care to children in need.

This year’s Day at the Races is the second annual Kentucky Derby fundraiser for The Children’s Clinic. At last year’s event locally, attire was properly springy and Southern.
