Change in the air

On behalf of myself and the Proviso Progressive Party, I would like to thank everyone who came out to vote on April 7. I would also like to extend congratulations to all of the winning candidates. We look forward to working with you to make Proviso Township a better place to live, and improve the quality of our schools.

I am pleased that two of our candidates, Bill Daugherty and Kevin McDermott, won on Election Day. Proviso residents will be well served by both of these hard working and dedicated individuals.

While some of our candidates were not victorious on Election Day, we were able to wage a competitive campaign and offer the voters a choice for change. The closeness of these elections shows Proviso is ready for honest change. We will continue to push for reform and change in our township and schools, and hope that our newly elected officials in Proviso will make reform a top priority as well.

Again, thanks to all of those who supported the Proviso Progressive Party candidates and to those who participated in the April 7 election.

Theresa Kelly
Candidate for township supervisor, Maywood
