William Robert Andro, 62, Former Forest Park resident
William R. Andro, 62 of Grand Rapids, Mich., and formerly of Forest Park, died Thursday, April 23 as a result of complications from diabetes. Andro was raised in Forest Park and graduated from St. Bernardine’s Catholic School and St. Joseph High School.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Phyllis (Klemp); a son, Rob; his daughter, Sarah; granddaughters, Sophie and Hazel; and a grandson arriving in June. Also surviving are his sisters, Mary Lou Moran, and Nancy Svoboda of Elmwood Park.
Andro was born to Vivien and Robert Andro, who ran a drugstore at the corner of Madison and Desplaines. Funeral services were held in Michigan.
Edward B. O’Shea Jr., 82, Longtime village attorney
Edward B. O’Shea Jr., 82 of River Forest, has died. For 42 years, O’Shea served as the attorney for the village of Forest Park. He was also a member of Forest Park Kiwanis Club for 55 years. He lived in the community for 20 years.
O’Shea is survived by his wife of 57 years, Irene L. (Lambke); his children, Patricia Manor, Sharon, Maureen Hillmann, Kevin, Peggy Geraghty, Sheila and Timothy O’Shea; his grandchildren, Claire Cossio and Ellen and Neal Manor, Patrick and Margaret Hillmann, Katherine and Michael O’Shea, Daniel, Kelly and Timothy Geraghty, Connor and Hannah O’Shea. He was also a brother-in-law and uncle of many.
Visitation was held May 26 at Drechsler, Brown & Williams Funeral Home, 203 S. Marion St., Oak Park. Prayers Wednesday 10:15 a.m. to St. Luke Church for Mass at 11 a.m. Interment will be at Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
