Frightening record

In your article, “Shooting suspects arrested,” published June 24, please tell me that Mr. Topps’ 12 convictions for weapons charges is a clerical mistake. If not, what in the world is he doing on the streets with a weapon after 12 convictions?

I hope I am not the only person that is totally outraged by this fact. Mr. Topps should have been put behind bars long ago, with the key thrown into Lake Michigan. Is anyone safe anymore?
