Helen Neubiser, 94, Longtime village resident

Helen Winifred Amanda Neubiser (Schulz) has died. The Forest Park resident was 94-years-old.

Neubiser was raised in Forest Park and attended the German Lutheran School of St. John. For some 60 years, she worked at McLellan’s, which later became Ben Franklin’s, and retired in 1990.

She is survived by a son, Richard Elmer; a daughter-in-law, Jody; six grandchildren, Todd, Scott, Jeffrey, Faydra, Danielle and Tony; and three great-grandchildren, Shanne Tanner and Brooke.

Neubiser was predeceased by her husband, Elmer H. Neubiser, whom she married in 1948; five sisters, Margaret Petersohn, Edna Neubiser, Mildred Witt and Flora Ashby; a daughter-in-law, Dianne (Marcussen); and her parents, Paul and Frieda Schulz.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 29 from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Zimmerman-Harnett Funeral Home, 7319 Madison. Funeral services are 10 a.m. Thursday, July 30 at St. John’s Evangelical, 305 Circle. Interment will be at Concordia Cemetery.
