Outside of Riveredge Hospital on Friday, about 50 employees gathered to commemorate their participation in a weekend fundraiser for the National Alliance on Mental Illness. On Sunday, the Riveredge employees walked 3 miles along Chicago’s lakefront with other advocates for mental health. Among them was Carey Carlock, chief executive officer of Riveredge.
“It’s a fabulous organization and something we’re proud to be affiliated with,” Carlock said of the National Alliance on Mental Illness. Riveredge, a private psychiatric hospital, is at 8311 Roosevelt in Forest Park.
The National Alliance on Mental Illness walk in Chicago is in its fourth year. This is the first time Riveredge has participated.
