Norma Elwell, 84, Former Forest Park resident
Norma Elwell (Crowley), 84, of Fox Lake, has died. She was a former resident of Forest Park and had worked for Union Oil in Schaumburg. Elwell was also a past president of the Desk and Derrick Club.
She is survived by her children, Karen Elwell and Tom Aleto of Pennsylvania, and Nancy Petri of Fox Lake; her grandchildren, Brian Petri of Texas and Melanie Petri of California; and a sister, Jean Hintze of Wheeling.
Elwell was the widow of the late Guy Elwell.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 3, at Lutheran Church of All Saints, 5800 State Park Road, Fox Lake. Memorial contributions to the church, or Save-A-Pet Foundation, 3701 W. Lake Ave., Grayslake, Ill., 60030, are appreciated.
Services are under the direction of Hamsher Funeral Home in Fox Lake.
Wallace ‘Dan’ Whigam Jr., 37, Forest Park resident
Wallace “Dan” Whigam Jr., 37, died Sept. 13, 2009. He was a Forest Park resident and graduated from Fenwick High School in 1990. Whigam was the proprietor of Competitive Door and Supply Company in Forest Park.
He is survived by his father, Wallace; Lauren Sherman, the love of his life; his siblings, Lisa Finn, Linda Weber and William; an aunt, Val Sena; and seven nieces and nephews: Peter, Jack, Hannah and Sam Weber, and Brittany, Jessica and Ashley Whigam. He was the son of the late Frances Whigam.
