Geraldine A. Russell, 88, River Forest resident
Geraldine Alvina Russell, 88, of River Forest, died Oct. 2, 2009. She was born Nov. 1, 1920, in Chicago to the late Jacob and Ella Russell. She was educated in Chicago schools and graduated from the University of Chicago. Russell was a member of St. Peter’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Forest Park.
She is survived by her sister, Violet Sims; two nephews, Mark and Richard Sims, all of Springfield, Mo. Russell will also be greatly missed by many friends in River Forest and Forest Park.
Visitation will be held Friday, Oct. 16 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at St. Peter’s, 500 Hannah Ave., Forest Park, followed by funeral services at 11 a.m. Interment will be at Forest Home Cemetery.
Services are under the direction of Zimmerman-Harnett Funeral Home, 7319 Madison, Forest Park.
