The annual Cindy Lyons Health Fair, which offers a variety of free screenings, exams and other services, will be held Wednesday, Nov. 4 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Howard Mohr Community Center.
Residents of Forest Park may also receive free vaccinations against seasonal influenza. This vaccine is not for the H1N1 virus. Last year, approximately 240 flu vaccines were administered.
Traditionally, seniors in the community have taken advantage of the free services provided during the annual event, but the health fair is open to people of all ages. Blood pressure stations, blood draws for various lab tests, eye exams and informational booths on nutrition and other health-related topics are featured.
