During a first annual award ceremony established in memory of Ed O’Shea, the Forest Park Kiwanis Club also named its newest class of officers to help lead the organization.
Eric Entler was chosen president of the philanthropic group and village council member Michael Curry was named president-elect. Mary Win Connor, a member of the District 91 school board, is vice president. Treasurer is Laureen Thornton and the recording secretary is Susan Schmidt. Monika Nash holds the duties of corresponding secretary.
Mayor Anthony Calderone, Nancy Bower, Gerald Lordan, Louis Taglia and Andrew Collis are directors of the Kiwanis Club. Collis was also the recipient of the Ed O’Shea Service to Youth Award, which was presented Oct. 27 during a dinner event held at Francesca’s Fiore on Madison.
