The 6th Annual pig roast to benefit Misericordia was held at Healy’s Westside on Jan. 18 and was a huge success! We could not have done it without the help of many people. We want to thank all of you.

This year, for the first time, we had a corporate sponsor, Jim Brandolino of Brandolino Investment Group. BIG sponsored the open bar and dinner for over 400 people.

A heartfelt thank you for the many donations, especially Greg Gibbs of Anderson Elevator, and Tom Eddy and Karen Lundy for their personal donations to the raffle. Bart Neri, Kyle Entler and Luke Lalonde of Burke Beverage for their hard work in getting the signs flying high on Madison Street and the many prizes Burke Beverage donated to our raffle. Rich Poulfus (Chubbs) from McGaffer’s Saloon for all his hard work on selling T-shirts for us; Kevil’s Steakhouse, Goldyburgers, Duffy’s Tavern for their help in selling T-shirts. The staff of Healy’s was wonderful in generating revenue by selling T-shirts to customers and friends with Tom O’Connell being the top seller. He sold 74 shirts and even donated his “top selling cash prize” back to Misericordia. The Healy’s staff worked hard to make sure that everyone had a good time. A special thank you goes out to Ted Hosty and his catering expertise for preparing our dinner, which was wonderful!

I also want to thank the sponsors of our raffle and giveaways, Geo’s Auto Body, Duffy’s Tavern, City Beverage, Wirtz Beverage, Schaumberger and Grant Imports. With their help, we raised over $3,500 just in raffle money.

Last but not least, we cannot thank Mark Hosty, Terry and Dick Healy for welcoming us to their establishment on such short notice. We had a wonderful time and we are proud to say we were able to give over $16,000 directly to Misericordia.

Thank you, thank you, thank you. See you next year at Healy’s Westside.
