During a meeting held behind closed doors on Thursday, members of the Forest Park School District 91 board discussed the performance of Superintendent Lou Cavallo as part of an annual evaluation process. This will be Cavallo’s third evaluation under this particular board, and thus far he has received high marks.

In March 2009, board members lauded the superintendent’s handling of a controversial plan to adjust the attendance boundaries of the district, and to reconfigure which grade levels would be housed in the district’s four elementary schools. Those changes took effect at the start of the current school year, and it’s likely that the implementation of those plans will be part of the board’s discussion.

The district has withheld specific details of past evaluations from the public, but board members have spoken in general terms about the work of its top administrator.
