The second annual benefit for the Catherine O’Connor Trage Foundation will be held this month in an attempt to raise money for Misericordia Heart of Mercy. Last year’s fundraiser, which benefited the Make-A-Wish foundation, garnered more than $10,000.
Family and friends of Trage’s organized the foundation as way to honor her memory. She died on Feb. 22, 2008, while vacationing in Mexico.
This year’s benefit will be held Feb. 20 at Fitzgerald’s in Berwyn from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. A $50 ticket provides attendees with dinner, drinks, live music and a raffle. Tickets can be purchased in advance at www.cotfoundation.com, and at the door. Prior to the fundraiser, a memorial Mass will be held at St. Luke’s church in River Forest beginning at 3:30 p.m.
