A joint effort by the municipal government and a local business group attempts annually to recognize property owners who’ve made significant improvements to their home or business. This year marks the 16th for the Pride Awards, and nominees are now being accepted.
Anyone can submit a nomination to the Forest Park Chamber of Commerce and Development, 7344 Madison, or to the village clerk’s office at 517 Desplaines Ave. Properties in either category will be judged on the aesthetic impact of the renovation, impact on the neighborhood and the amount of money invested into the project. Entries are due by March 22 and nomination forms can be picked up at the chamber and village offices. Winners will be announced May 5 during the annual meeting of the chamber.
