Monday night’s village council meeting opened with an awards ceremony for two Forest Parkers whose prompt calls to 911 this month resulted in arrests of suspects in residential burglaries.
Jenise Lichtenegger and Michael Stephens both got handshakes and praise from Police Chief Jim Ryan and Mayor Tony Calderone. Each also got a plaque. The mayor told everyone gathered at the council meeting that such concern in our neighborhoods is what we all need to show. “This is not only notable, it’s admirable,” Calderone said.
Because of their efforts, four suspects are in custody.
