Elaine E. Carroll (nee Pilch), 85, has died. A longtime resident of Forest Park and member of St. Bernardine Church, Ms. Carroll was an avid card player who especially enjoyed pinochle. She loved her home and spending time in her garden. Her zest for life included traveling, the theater, bowling and dining out with family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Francis Carroll, and her siblings, Helen, Dorothy, Carl, Wally, Warner and Raymond.
Ms. Carroll is survived by her children, Skip (Julie) Carroll and Denny Carroll; her grandchildren, Whitney, Morgan, Jamison and Logan; her sister Marion Penno.
Funeral services have been held. Interment was at Forest Home Cemetery in Forest Park. Donations to the American Heart Association were appreciated.
