Previously, we’ve commented on the gradual and continuous upgrading of the District 91 school board. Now, through an appointment process, the school board has seemingly made another positive addition to the school’s leadership.

Rafael Rosa, a 10-year resident of Forest Park, was appointed in June to fill out the last months of the term of longtime member Glenn Garlisch. Garlisch moved from Forest Park and resigned in May.

At one point, this was a sleepy and unambitious body. The appointment of Rosa is further evidence that this district has set its sights higher on all fronts.
