My family lived in Forest Park until 1973 and lived on Thomas Avenue. Having a very close friend on the far south end of town, I’ve had the privilege of assisting in numerous basement cleanups after far too many floods. They seem to become of greater magnitude every time. I live on a flood plain in Libertyville, and was honored to have an opportunity to replace with new every item of my home in 1986. In 1993, we as a community saved 31 homes from invading waters of our common Des Plaines River.
With a lifetime of study, I’ve concluded a cubit is 18 inches. As there are so many taxpayer-funded services provided by government, possibly Tony and Tim could use this information.
Respectfully a kindred spirit,
