It’s staggering to listen to the accomplishments of the three folks the village council honored Monday night. The decades of contributions Andy Collis, Dorothy Calderone Tricoci and Rev. Frank Grady have made to our village make this a richer and warmer community.

The spirit of active volunteerism shown by Collis (park district commissioner, zoning board, Kiwanis and more) and Tricoci (Girl Scouts, PTA, VFW, St. Bernardine’s and more) reflect the ways of Forest Park at its best. Each will now have an honorary street sign erected on their behalf.

Grady, whom we profiled just a week ago, is largely responsible for the strong sense of community that still radiates from St. B’s. His pastoral work is well known and those small, intimate connections will not easily be replaced.
