On Aug. 24, at 140 Marengo Ave., Citizens United in Forest Park (CUinFP) had a Membership Social. I would like to publicly thank the people who helped to make this happen. The venue was provided by Mary Richie and Dean Holub, who tirelessly made themselves available during planning, set up and most importantly, welcoming guests. Thanks also to Wayne Schauer from Schauer’s “Do It Best” Hardware for donating the generous door prize, a Weber Kettle grill and to Bonnie Doolin who prepared and served an outstanding array of culinary delights. Lastly, thanks to all who attended to make it a worthwhile and fun evening.
