My wife and I want to extend a special thanks to John of the Forest Park park district, as well as any other staff who were on hand on Feb. 17. We’d like to thank you all for rescuing our grandson from the clutches of the leg-deep, baseball-field mud! It was over his boots!
In addition to the rescue was the provision of a ride home for our bootless 5-year-old; and the aid extended to Grammie, who had two other small children with her ’til family help arrived!
