Frank Markosek, Sr., 88, a resident of Forest Park since 1969, passed away on April 30. Mr. Markosek married his wife Antonia on September 28, 1947 in Italy. Mrs. Markosek passed away less than one year before her husband. Frank was employed at Reflector Hardware for over 25 years, retiring at the age of 62. After retirement, Frank enjoyed gardening, as well as cooking and painting. Mr. Markosek was well known as the neighborhood handyman for many of his Forest Park friends and neighbors.
A visitation will be held Wednesday, May 4, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m., at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 7750 Cermak Rd., in Forest Park. Funeral services will begin Thursday, May 5, at 9 a.m., with prayers at the funeral home. Services will then proceed to St. Bernardine Catholic Church, 7246 Harrison St., for a 10 a.m. Funeral Mass. Interment will take place at Resurrection Cemetery, 7200 Archer Road, in Justice, IL.
